The Job

Mexico Beach coastal home crawlspace. Low elevation, Gulf-adjacent, high-humidity climate — the crawlspace under this home was losing heat in winter and pulling humidity up into the living space year-round. Under-floor batting was missing entirely in sections and degraded in others.

Solution

Full batting install between floor joists across the crawlspace, vapor-barrier facing oriented toward the conditioned space above, and careful work around plumbing and HVAC penetrations. Tight joist bays, some hand-cut fits, and continuous coverage from wall to wall.
